Globe Swift, C-145 For SaleGlobe (TEMCO) Swift, 1949. SN 3686. A polished aluminum classic.Airframe 3,270Continental O-300D 698 SMOHSensenich 74DC-1 fixed pitch recently repitched to “climb”Classic, in fact beautiful, “T” instrument panel.Excellent Interior with the large flat hat rack area of TEMCO Swifts.Full cargo space behind the seatsStandard factory opening aluminum canopy. (Very cool interior when flying!)Two Piece wind screen.Standard 26 gallon fuel tanks. (Actual fuel burn is 7.4 gph at 110 knots. For flight planning I use 8, 3+15 endurance.)Instruments (VFR aircraft with a standard round dial T panel)Dual head radio4096 transponderApollo GPS (which I do not normally turn on)A very nice between the seats iPad mount (I prefer iFly GPS software) and a USB power port.Reason for selling - I grew up behind Lycomings in Super Cubs flying out of grass strips with tall trees. My “world” leans that way. The C-145 Swift simply is not a short grass strip aircraft (duh). And, having grown up with Lycomings I prefer them to the small Continentals. Thus I am looking to buy a Swift with a larger Lycoming engine. So, I have to sell my beautiful C-145 Swift before I can buy a larger engine Swift. Darn.ConsThe aircraft has a C-145 with 700 hours.Their is a small thread bare spot on the pilot seat back cushion (which is odd, since I use a second cushion, short legs, darn.)Even with a climb pitch prop, this is not a short field airplane. The aircraft does not have ADS-B out.ProsAbsolutely gorgeous. A real head turner.Absolutely gorgeous instrument panel.110 knots cruise at 7.4 gph (Flight plan for 8 giving 3+15 endurance)Adventure Pilot is working on a tail bulb GPS Out solution. Not yet certified.Unlike many Swifts for sale, this one flies weekly.History1949 TEMCO manufactured GC-1B with a C-125C-145 added in 1969Instrument Panel Completely rebuilt 1976C-150 style seats added 1989Aux Battery Charger Plug 1992Small Stall Strip added 2001Oil Pan Heater (Very handy for winter flying!)New Electric Fuel Pump 2018 (Hand Wobble Pump retained and operational)Work I have doneSpin On Oil Filter addedNew Electric Fuel PumpGenerator rebuilt
