1959 Cessna 172B. Very nice flying airplane. Handles very well. Climbs out very well. Landing gear was made taller in this model year so no banging your head on the wings as often happens with more recent models. Mechanical flaps so no worries about not having flaps in the event of electrical failure. Located at Adrian, Michigan, (ADG). New paint in 2013 on fuselage, tail feathers and leading edges of wings. Some minor hail damage. Exterior 8/10. Interior 8/10. Upholstery good headliner good except for small tear in back near luggage compartment. No corrosion. Corrosion X treatment Nov. 2004. Engine is a Continental O300A 145Hp with 680Hr SMOH. Was overhauled July 2003 by Kline Aviation. Prop was overhauled Aug. 2000 by H&S Prop Shop. Has a single radio, a Narco Mk12D with NAV. Also a Narco AT150 transponder, Sigtronics SPA400 4 Place intercom and a IIMorrow Flybuddy LORAN. Has venturi vacuum system so no vacuum pump to fail.

Here is a rare opportunity to own a real warbird. This unique airplane was built in 1957 and exported to France for use by the French Air Force. It was brought back to the United States in 1983 and re-registered with a U.S. certificate of airworthiness. This plane is extra-special as it is fitted with a constant-speed prop whereas most Bird Dogs have a fixed pitch prop. Both engine and prop were overhauled in 2008 and only have 273 hours on them. Beautiful Army arctic paint scheme. This aircraft is equipped with rockets and racks which are difficult to find and are a $7500 value. Absolutely turn-key and a real head-turner on any ramp. All trades considered.Engine(s)Continental O470-15273 TT SMOHSerial Number T-101975-6-R-CCompressions as of April 2016: 70, 70, 70, 69, 70, 70Prop SpecsMcCauley 2A36C-18USSerial Number 641227273 TT SPOH
