A nimble performer, this helicopter is ready to go.

Description of the Mosquito's flight characteristics: It handles like a Schweizer 300, but is quicker. It has no trouble doing hovering turns in strong winds. It has plenty of power. The Mosquito is routinely used to demonstrate autorotations to the ground, even unprepared turf. (Some Mosquito pilots routinely demonstrate 15’ hovering autorotations, a feat you wouldn’t do on most other helis. Larger choppers like the Bell 47, the Hiller H-23, and the Huey are capable of this.) A rated helicopter pilot should have no trouble flying the Mosquito on even their first flight. An FAA Student Pilot who has soloed in helicopters (such as Schweizers) can continue their training and log the time in a Mosquito XE.

______________________________________________
SPECIFICATIONS:
Length: 20 ft; height: 7 ft; width: 6 ft.; empty weight: 298 lbs; max. weight: 610 lbs; useful load: 240 lbs; main rotor diameter: 19.5 ft.; main rotor RPM: 540; engine/horsepower: CRE MZ202/60; fuel capacity: 12 gal.; fuel: 93 oct. gas w/synthetic oil; fuel burn at cruise: 6 gph; max. speed: 80 mph; cruise: 75 mph; HIGE: 8,000 ft.; HOGE: 6,500 ft.; rate of climb: 900 fpm; flight duration (max): 1.75 hour; range: 120 miles
