The L29 is mostly retired from military service, but is popular with civil operators for its simplicity and easy maintenance. Over 3,600 were produced between 1963 and 1974. The L29 became the standard jet trainer for most Eastern Block countries. The L29 is a rugged and easy to fly jet trainer.
